Question about using that rubber tight thing around your stomach

my aunt was very sweet to me in getting me this gift

since she sees me run every morning before i go to work, she bought me this velcro type wide rubber belt that you wrap around your a**ominal area. Obviously the tighter it it, the better it will work

i tried it and when i went running, i felt real hot, like a burning sensation!! no nothing hazardous to my health, but the rubber attached to my skin while running really caused me to sweat like crazy

after about 30-40min of my cardio, i took it off and MAAAAN !! i felt great !!

i sweat ALOT in that rubber thing and my stomach felt thinner

have anyone here ever heard of this thing? or has anyone ever tried it?

do you think this will help me burn fat in my stomach area more or is this thing a placebo? its just all in my head?

I've got one of those! Yeah I got it thinking it would compress my stomach and therby making me thinner. Well I concluded that it "appears" to make you thinner, but really stomach goes back to original shape a few hrs after removing it.

They work good as a back support but that is about it!

yeah I could be wrong, but I don't think you can really lose fat in just one area.

what im trying to say is...... does thing thing help in ANYTHING?

or do i just look like an idiot wearing this thing?

i dont mind if you say "well it compresses your stomach so when you run your abs are more tense than if they werent" or "the increased heat level will cause you to burn an extra calorie or 2 than if it wasnt"

if there is anything that i can benefit from wearing this thing, what would it be?

I'd say if it makes you sweat than it is helping somewhat, just my opinion.

they are utilized to drop WATER weight and subcutenes water. but nothing really special and not worth it imo for diuretics/sodium manipulation are better for controlling water precomp

so they do actually do something!!

I think its the opposite the extra cold will make you burn fat for heating , but the extra heat will make you release more sweat for cooling.

Nothing a good diet can't fix...

in all honosty...its b.s....just my opinion on spot reducing fat/water weight.

Heat is better for your muscles and to burn fat. Heat is a catalyst for many bodily functions, including fat burning and hypertrophy in a fashion. I'm sure it helps to some extent. I believe in spot-fat reduction though, even as many scientists have attempted to say it doesn't exist.

hahahhaha, i have one and use one from time to time, i feel a lot tigher after a m0onth of use, its just abboying to wear, it does work though...

keeps your abs tight all the time (i only use it when i go to bed) therefore the abs are slightly working, bla bla bla...
