Better to cook with Light Butter or Olive Oil?
What do you guys think?
Olive Oil (per tablespoon)
Total Fat - 14g
Carb - 0g
Protein - 0g
Light Country Crock Butter
Total Fat - 2g
Carb - 0g
Protein -
Huge difference huh? the only real big diff. is the poly and mono fats, but in Olive oil its 4g poly and 7g mono if im not mistaken and in butter its 2g poly and 3.5g mono.
Another pro with using butter is that it makes the meats MUCH MORE JUCIER
ESPECIALLY STEAK !!!! and of course chicken and fish too, but omg cookin steak in butter wow !!!!!
so yea, i think 1tblsp of butter is much MUCH better than 1tblsp of olive oil
am i wrong? and i not lookin at something im supposed to be looking at?
what do you guys think?

Why use butter to cook the steak or olive oil, besides taste the steak makes its own cooking oil.

butter has so much less fat of eerything than the oil, i still cant fathom on why you guys choose oil over light butter?!
olive oil has what, 7g mono and 10g poly while butter has 3g mono and 5g poly? its only 2-3g difference, but the calories and the fat grams compared to each other is a HUGE difference, with oil having 14g of fat per tblsp and light butter only having 5g per tblsp, how can butter not be a much better choice?!?!
i can understand if butter had NO poly or mono fat, but its does, and its a pretty good amount at that too!!

I use non-stick cooking spray or "I can't believe it's not butter" spray. No need for real butter to me.

thanks!!!
here are the macros to country crock light butter (in a tub)
PER TBLSP
Calories 50 Calories Fat 40
Total Fat 5g
Sat Fat 1g
Mono 1.5g
Poly 2.5g
Chol 0g
Sodium 80mg
Sugars 0g
Carb 0g
Protein 0g
Olive Oil
PER TBLSP
Calories 120 Calories Fat 120 !!!
Total Fat 14g !!!!!
Sat Fat 2g !!!!
Mono 10g (this wins)
Poly 2g !!!
Chol 0g
Sodium 0mg (ill take the 80mg for tasty flavor any day)
Sugars 0g
Carb 0g
Protein 0g
so there you go, tblsp for tbslp of each.... butter beats olive oil waaaay better !! other than the mono (9g more) and the butter having a little bit of sodium (80mb) all around the butter is MUCH healthier and less fattening than the Olive Oil (fats, calories)
