    Need Help With Diet

    hey, im new to weight training and am just looking for some information on what to eat and when to eat it, also what other sources of nutrition i should have e.g. protein shakes and dextrose? my aim is to bulk up and then to cut once i have a decent build but i am also wanting to do some cardio aswell in my training, please could you guys who have been training a long time help me out with some advice on what nutrition i should have, if i get many replies it will also be interesing on peoples different views on diet

    What are your stats?

    Height, weight, bodyfat%, age, years training...

    im 5'6 ,9 stone,11% bodyfat, 16 years old and only just starting training, so am a noobie

    Well your BMR (amount of calories to stay at your current weight) is approximately 2400 calories. If you eat more than that, you gain weight, eat less than that and you lose weight. To add muscle at an efficient rate you should eat 500-1000 calories more than your BMR, so you should be eating 2900-3400 calories.

    sorry, but you must be 18 to join this site. You can continue to read, but will have to wait till you're older to be a member.

    Where does it say ive got to be 18? i dunt seem harm in looking and posting in diet n workout aslong as im not posting in steroid section
