    Diet Question

I've noticed when people post their diets they seem to be as if what they put on their diet is what they eat and that is all they eat. When you make a diet, do you stick with whatever you put on it day after day? This isn't me complaining, I just want to make sure that when I make one, I'm doing it right. If it takes the same meals everyday to gain mass/weight, I'll do it.

    Thanks all!

Not usually the same foods... but close to the same macronutrients (example, if a meal is 50g protein and 70g carbs, I'll keep it close to that if I replace it with something else)

If you get on a serious cutting diet, it is usually the same food day in and day out.

But, the main part of a cutting diet is making sure you are eating pro/fat or pro/carb meals and then keeping the same % or pro/carb/fats. And also the timing of the day for your carbs.

Wait, after I just typed all that, arent you trying to bulk up?? If so then the exact timing of each meal and when to eat carbs and pro/fat pro/carbs dont matter that much for me. Now I proabbly just confused you

    Haha - I see what you're saying.

Yeah, with school and work it's hard to set precise times to eat anyway. I can eat in the morning, study hall, lunch, study hall, after school, work break, and when i get home from work + any snacking at work.

You don't have to eat the same food day after day. You can prepare it different. Even with cutting. Instead of eating the same things plain over and over again, you just combine them. You have to know how to cook though. Like for example, when cutting you might eat chicken and some veggies for a meal. Try cutting up the chicken and cooking it with the veggies like stir fry. Or cook it with peppers and salsa. There a millions of ways to mix it up. Lots of spices you can use.

Like you can make a chicken breast plain, BBQ with hot sauce, lemon pepper, southwest, tandoori, soy sauce and red coking sherry, Mrs Dash and poultry seasoning, olive oil and Italian seasoning, you can marinate in Italian dressing and then fry in olive oil, crock pot soaked in hot sauce. I could go on.

I'd be ready to throw up if I had to eat the same thing everyday I don't know how anyone could live that way.

Yea, you can even put sugar free preserves on it. You need whole grain bread though. And make sure the PB doesn't have hydrogenated oil in. Skippy natural is a good choice.

You're full of advice! Thanks - I am getting this diet together slowly, but getting the hang of it.

    Thanks once again!
