Do you find it hard to eat clean when everyone around you doesn't?

little rant here, Each to their own, But How do you guys overcome instances for example i'm at work and it's smoko and I have 6 ppl around me eating big chicken schnitzel burgers chips and coke and there I am with my can of tuna and oats? I am fairly strong with my diet with keeping it clean but it's hard when your workmates, mates and girlfriend constantly eat shit around you. It's hard when i'm with me missus and it comes to choosing an appropriate eatery for dinner that can keep us both happy.

No, I don't. But I am really fvck1ng weird too. I know what you mean, I work with a bunch of fatties and "genetically gifted for now future fatties", who are always stuffing pizza into their big puffy mouths. Following up with cookies and ice cream and who knows that else.

Part of the trick is, don't eat tuna and oats every day. Learn how to cook. Make a bunch you can put in leftover dishes and bring with you. Like maybe you mix the tuna with rice and a little mushroom soup concentrate and put a little shredded cheese on top. Then oatmeal with sugar free syrup and bacon and eggs on the side. Whole wheat pasta and cheese sauce with the tuna. chicken/rice/broccoli with cheese sauce. Hamburgers on whole wheat, pickles and German cole slaw (splenda sweetened of course). Stir fry with brown rice, oriental veggies and your choice of meat. Chicken fajitas, with peppers, onions, salsa, cheese, on wheat tortillas. Whole wheat pasta with either tomato sauce (sugar free) and meatballs, or alfredo sauce and chicken. Italian sausage, squash, zucchini, dice tomatoes, over rice topped with parmasean cheese. I could go on and on. Macros are macros are macros are macros are macros..............
And I'm sure the misses would enjoy all these too. Especially if YOU cook them.

But anyway yeah I can relate. I eat l clean all the time (most everyday). This is what I do. If i know I'm gona go out with freinds to a restaurant or barbeque I just chalk it up to a cheat day and eat with them. Make up the difference later and back to eating clean again. Some just don't understand disciplined eating and I get tired of telling people " can't eat this or that da da da"

If I start to feel like its getting hard, Ill sit back and look around at the guy's apple-shaped upper body and ask myself, "Do I want to look like him?" Then I look at the women stuffing their saddlebagswith pizza and ask myself, "Would I be pround to be with her." 99% of the time the answer is the same, "Fvck NO." Carry on.

Again my sentiments egzactly. I do the samething, in fact it's second nature to me. But I also try not to judge a person based soley on that. But hey, if those types can help me by thinking that way then at least some good is comming out of it.

I am the same as siddy, I try to eat rib (without sauce) same go's with steak and chicken and I will sometimes mash hard boiled eggs with tuna and I have a salad or meal for a day or two. But I know how you feel, my g/f likes candy but the thing is she only eat a abit and then I see it and just want it all, and that what gets me, So I guess it is the will power I need...and for the one that have this issue

lol, of course I dont judge who they are. Afterall, they're in my company. I just look at the facts: fat, wimpy, hot or not.

I don't find it hard at all. It's funny how little most average people even know about dieting. I was at a family cookout eating tuna while everyone was pigging out on fatty fried foods, a guy said to me "if I looked like you, I would eat whatever I wanted" and I replied "you do eat whatever you want, that's why you don't look like me".

its very easy for me. i just look at them as weak individuals with no self control.

this makes me feel good and strong for not indulging like them.

those people always try to get me to eat that crap so they dont feel guilty for pigging out.

When Im eating healthy i actually look at greesy, fatty, oily, fried foods and cant imagine how i ever ate them, it is gross to me. Then i look at my carrot sticks/broccoli, fat free dip, and glad container of tuna and actually enjoy it, IDK maybe im crazy

my friends thinks I'm a freak for eating the way I do But they've since learnt that no amount of mocking me is going to shake my resolve, so now when we go to a restaurant and I order grilled fish/chicken and they eat the fatty foods, they just don't broach the subject anymore and leave my eating habits be. The funny thing is, I now get atleast one friend who sees my order and wants to order the same because my discipline makes them feel guilty...classic!

It is tuff man, but think about what are you trying to accomplish here with eating the food you have.

That always makes it so easy, I got to the point that I don't even care about what others eat.

the hardest for me is shopping for the kids and then having all the snacks and other goodies in the house constantly.

well PEWNTANG, i just moved back to the area my mom lives in. Cuz she had Stress Fractures in both her feet, so she was out of work for 4 months and needed help paying bills and gettin chores done. that was 5 months ago. i got comfortable and met a nice girl, got a good job and am having a good time. plus i didnt have my mom growing up. we lived in different countries. so its nice to be around her and to get to know her. by the way im 23. thank you, come again.

I definately think the hardest part is pulling away from the norm, ie. having a better body then everyone else that eats like shit.. or has better genetics then you.. Once that is completed i think it would be simple to look at everyone feeding their faces while you maintain obedience to the cause.. at the end of the day.. Im the one that will have girls drooling, my buddys eating the pizza are the ones that have to turn the lights off when they want a piece of arse..
