    carb question!

Hey hey. So, when it comes to carb intake while bulking how many of you include slow release CC's in your meals that are later in the day?? Until now the only meals that I would intake significant amounts of carbs were post and pre workout meals. The rest were simply pro/fat meals. In other words, I go to the gym earlier in the day. So my carb intake is very limited after, say, three in the afternoon. I would like to start introducing good CC's into one "dinner time" meal at about 5-6pm or so. Many sample diets I have read say only before and after workout. Suggestions?? Thanx. PS I have a slow matabolism and dont do well with excessive carbs. Im 5'5 172 10%bf.

While bulking, the only meal I didn't have at least 60g carbs at was the one right before bed.

why do you want to add them if you have a slow metabolism?

stick with green veggies or beans(black).

i would start slowly if i had your metabolism.

I eat a pile of veggies al ready, just want to make sure I get the carbs I need when I need them. Im fairly new to calorie counting and so on. I shouldnt have said slow, ...just gotta be a little carefull or ill see the unused carbs where I dont want them... the spare tire. haha

don't worry so much about carb intake. worry more-so on your overall calorie intake. I also have a slow metabolism. I would start off at maintenance cals and slowly ramp cals up every few weeks.

you can pretty much have slow-releasing carbs on all solid meals except before the bedtime meal while bulking (hell, some even do!). However, I agree with the bros, if your metabolism is sluggish, try to increase your carb intake incrementally week by week so you don't cross over into fat storage; that's what I'm doing now

You can also manipulate diet by having high and low carb days. I find this works well. On non workout days simply dont have as many carbs. You wont be anyways since you wont have PWO carbs. But even just have 3 carbs meals at like 50g each. 150g carbs in a day is minimal and is just 600kcal out of the couple thousand you would have in a bulking diet anyways.

I like doing it that way (never as low as 150 but Im bigger than you) But same idea, that way on my workout days I can have around 500-600g carbs.
