Diet questions (I have certain unusual problems)

    Happy Thanks giving everyone!!

    Just so you know:
I used to be addicted to lifting weights, until I found out I have a condition (myoclonic jerks/epilepsy) that prevents me from doing so.
I can do stationary bikes, and machines, nothing that can fall on me.

In any case, the pounds have been creeping up. After thanksgiving dinner I got pissed because I went to take the dog for a jog and it was very tiring. I used to be in shape. And I plan to get back in shape.

Another problem: I have high triglycerides levels (nothing serious), which force me to eat a low carb diet (at least limit as much as possible).

    So - my plan is:

    Meal one
    4 eggs
Tall glass of water w/ crystal lite

    Meal two
    1 Chicken breast
    Salad
Tall glass of water w/ crystal lite

    Meal three
    1 6oz can tuna
    V8 drink
Tall glass of water w/ crystal lite

    Meal four
    Chicken breast/fish
    Spinach
Tall glass of water w/ crystal lite

    Meal 5
    Same as meal three

    Just so you know:
    I am 20%, 5'6, 235lbs/106kg

    Questions: and comments
    1) I think I might be eating too little. What should I do.
    2) Is this plan OK for tryglyceride problem?
    3) I need to break the monotony. How can I do this?
    4) I have no money for supplements...so please don't tell me to get a protein shake, plus most I've tried suck.
    5) For my meals I need sauces, like no calorie bbq sauce and sauces like that. Anyone recommend anything?

    Thanks for understanding.
    Happy thanksgiving!!!!

I read more , and came up with this
    meal1
    4 eggs 320calries / 18g protein
    1/2 cup oatmeal - 150calories/27gcarbs

    meal2
    2ww breads 180 / 32g carbs
    1 can tuna 150 calories, 22.5g protein

    meal3
    2ww breads 180calories/ 32g carbs
    1 can tuna w no calorie sauce 150 calories / 22.5g protein

    meal 4
    9 oz chicken breast - 270cals/54g protein
v8 juice-30cals or broccolli or spinach
    Fish oil - 2 capsules 25 calories, 2.5g fat

    meal 5
    canned chicken breast 150 / 22.5 g protein
    Fish oil - 2 capsules 25 calories, 2.5g fat

    Totals = 1600 calories / 139.5 g protein / 91 g carbs

    How about that?

Just curious how does low carb affect triglyceride levels? I'd think low fat would be better..

I had a problem with triglycerides at one point. A low carb diet was the cure. I would stay low carb for now. You have health issues to reverse and a lot of fat to lose.

1 yes, you are eating too little. You should eat more
2 Low carb is the cure for triglyceride issues since they are made from glucose i the liver.
3 learn how to cook. That is the only way to do it. You can combine the macros into very different and tastey meals.
4 ok, but whey protein is pretty cheap at Wal-mart.
5 It depends on the meal. You really just need to worry about the sugar content though.
