be ingesting some simple carbs?

i read in several magazines that when you wake up in the morning, since you body is catabolic, you need to take in about 30g pro and about 40g of fast dig carbs (such as vitargo, gatorade, etc..)

i was just wondering if this was true guys?

should i eat fast dig. carbs in the morning? u know, rice cakes, cereal, etc..?
