For a start come up with a consistant diet plan. I imagine between college and work you are sometime missing meals or just grabbing something really light. Decide on a diet plan and stick to it for a month consistantly. You prolly already have an idea abput how much you eat a day. Decide on a plan where you are eating more than that and follow it consistantly. Even if it it is not the most healthy. Plan it around calories even if they are not the healthiest aim for around 3,000 kcal per day. ry to get quality protein in every meal. If you haven't noticed a change in yur weight report back here, or/and get your thyroid function chacked by your doc.

No harm in posting a meal plan here with it's macros. How much protein, fat and carbs are in each meal and your total calories for the day.

As part of a new diet, you can try this...

    1. Count how many cal. you consume in an average day

    2. The next day, add 200 cal. to your daily intake

    3. Continue to eat your new cal. intake for a week, you should see at least a 1 - 2 lbs gain in weight. ( Doesn't seem like much at first)

    4. After a while, you will notice you are not gaining any more weight, usually after 2 - 3 weeks. When you notice a stop in weight gain, add another 250 cal. to your daily intake.

    5. Continue to add 250 cal. to intake everytime you stop gaining weight.

    6. Obviously make sure you are on a healthy diet, don't just keep adding another order of fries with your hamburger. For some sample diets, just look at this forum, there are some great ones here.

    7. Proper exercise is key. Keep a consistent healthy workout routine. Remember, to get big, you have to eat and exercise big.

Hope this helps a little, and then again, someone else in this forum may be able to help you better than I can. Good luck

This community is amazing. I am so much like you patrick, and feel your pain. I am 5' 7" 104 lbs. I was thinking I ate all the time and so much, and realized I was barley packing in 2000 calories a day. I came to this commnuity asking about what steroids to take to bulk up. And they all laughed and pointed me on a diet to gain.

Sry really didn't help you much here, but thought i'd share my input too =D.

    tjpatrick,

send me a pm and I'll get you the very best multivitamin based on your budget.

Most of the "musclebuilder" diet packs and supplements are complete bullshit and low-quality. Get the good stuff...pm me and I'll help you.

    6'2" 115..man thats skinny

    Anyway.

I am a full time college student...dont work full time anymore but I used to..and still managed to eat every 2.5 hours.

Even when my job would not give me breaks..I would ask to go to the bathroom..and go to the back and wolf down my bag of chicken and my sweet potatoes..

Takes a lil longer than usual but they cant deny you a bathroom break....they knew I was eating but wtf r they gonna do..They are supposed to give you breaks.

My first question would be..do you get breaks?

Yikes, ha... 12" pizza, garlic wings, ice cream snacks.

You can go that route, but remember, any weight you gain is going to be a lot of fat (unless you are on some AAS, but right now, I would say stay away from all of that), regardless of what diet plan you go on. There is really no way to avoid it.

Rather than just eating whats around you, try and plan out a week or two where you can monitor what you take in. When you go to the grocery, take the time to check out the nutritional facts. I would recommend you try to lean more toward a higher protein and bump those cal. up like I said earlier.

Buy some whey protein to take with all your meals, and even though you are in college, still try and get at least 5 - 6 meals a day if not the 7 - 8 meals recommended. It will be hard to do, but you have to really work hard, it's not going to be easy.

Like I said, when you get the chance, if you haven't already, check out some of the diets on this forum, you may find one that you can work with, and at least it will be a safe diet for you.

    Good luck and be safe
