    Bulking Diet..?

I am a hard gainer.. so lots of carbs.. pretty new to this also so probably going to need some help, feel free to cut me up.. I am 5'10ish and 170lbs.

    [cals/pro/carbs/fat]

    -Oatmeal/Oatmeal crisp,1cup(230/5/43/4.5)
    -Milk,1cup(130/9/12/5)
    -OJ,1cup(120/2/29/0)
    -Shake,2scoops(240/48/6/2)
    -Banana(100/1/25/0)
    [ 800 / 65 / 115 / 11.5 ]

    -Ground Beef,1cup(353/29/0/25)
    -Rice,1/2can(318/8/71.5/0.0)
    [ 671 / 37 / 71.5 / 25 ]

    -Chicken Breast,10oz.(300/60/0/5)
    -Rice, 1/2 can (318/8/71.5/0.5)
    [ 618/68/71.5/5.5 ]

    -Tuna,2can(180/30/0/3)
-Full fat mayo(not sure macros for this don't have any right now =/)
    -Macaroni,3/4cup(320/11/64/1.5)
    -Prego sauce(100/2/20/1)
    [ 600 / 43 / 84 / 5.5 ]

    -Eggs,5(350/30/0/25)
    -Potatoes(430/10/100/5)
    [ 780 / 40 / 100 / 30 ]

    -Cottage Cheese1/2cup(100/15/6/1.5)
    -Whole Wheat Bread,5slices(500/20/90/5)
    [ 600 / 35 / 96 / 6.5 ]

    PWO
    dextrose,40g(150/0/40/0)
    Shake, 2scoops(240/48/6/2)
    [ 240 / 48 / 6 / 2 ]

will most likely work out either after beef and rice or chicken and rice meal.. and about 40 mins before workout will take 1scoop shake most likely.. which isn't included in here but anyways

If i did the math right that adds up to a daily total of..

    Cals 4,319
    Pro 334
    Carb 584
Fat 86 plus mayo didn't know macros..

IMO that is a lot of cals, i'm assuming you are bulking and you will undoubtedly grow, but maybe in the wrong places. look into the Harris Benedict Formula to calculate your basal metabolic rate (BMR), that will help you calculate a more appropriate calorie number. You mentioned being a hard gainer, but you also said you were relatively new to this, so my advice would be to drop the cals for 2 weeks and see if you don't progress in your workouts and maybe put on a couple pounds. if you aren't progressing well in your workouts then jump up your intake by 300cals or so.

in reference to your chicken, i would just bake them. it is quicker to fry them, but if you are going to take this serious, baking your chicken could be one of your first steps in the right direction. every time you bake a batch chalk up a little victory.
