Hello All,
Im new to this forum, i've been reading here and there for a couple of days and decided to subscribe, really great forum. Im a person that likes to read a lot and sometimes it confuses me instead of helping me out, i got a couple of questions and if you could please help me clarify them ill be REALLY greatful.
I used to run a lot and eat mostly salads with some kind of meat or chicken, but then i read something that caught my attention saying that, if you run/jog you're burning calories only while you do this, but if you built muscle, your body burns more calories all day long, and since then running has'nt been one of my priorities, ive been trying to loose weight by just lifting, and watching what i eat, no fast food, greasy food, or any excess fat, but then i dont know if i should be doing this or go back to the way i used to do it before. The thing is since i got some muscle i dont want to loose it from running too much, and i kinda want to built muscle while i loose weight, right now im 5"7' 194 lbs, and i want to start going back to the gym this coming monday. The way i had it planned was going to the gym around 10 a.m. on empty stomach and lift weights for around 3-4 hours the way i used to do it before and then go to work at 4 p.m. then get out at 12:30 a.m. and go run at the park for at least 30 minutes, im not sure if i'd be overdoing it, but im a pretty dedicated person and i dont like to do things half way.
Please if you think you can enlighten me in any form, or show me any flaws, or have suggestions please go ahead and let me know, srr if i posted the wrong way but im not really used to posting in forums like these, it kinda gives me the kreeps lol.
