I use to do it ages ago and come to think about it did help out i notice more muscle gains. i would add dextrose to my shake before and straight after training. I just want to no if any of yous do that or similar?

a lot of people live and die by dex. but the gains you saw were most likely due to your other meals throughout the day. you have a slight upper hand above others because you know what works best for you. use what you know works.

I've used dextrose and maltodextrin PWO. I believe there's something to the whole insulin spike/shuttling nutrients into muscle thing. Plus I noticed dextrose tastes much better than regular sugar!

Point is that you need carbs PWO. Whether you prefer Dex/Malto Waxy Maize, or Oats is debatable but again one must consume carbs.
