ok my question is, is it ok to take in fat with carbs?
well.... let me elaborate on that a bit...
is it ok to take in fats as long as they are efa's (olive, almonds, avacado, light mayo, etc...) with carbs?
reason why i ask is because i know carbs is what shuttles nutrients to where they are supposed to go, protein to muscles. I know its always important to eat you meals that are either
Pro / Fat
Pro / Carb
but from my understanding never
Carb / Fat
but does that mean any kind of carbs with any kind of fats? or is there certain exceptions?
I know everything has at least some amount of carbs and everything has some amounts of fat, but im not talking about just 4-7g, im talkin about 14-19g of efa and 40-60g of carbs
let me give you an example:
Baked chicken Potatoe Salad
1 chicken breast baked with fat free spray
2 cooked and mashed potatoes (white)
1/4 cup of peas
1/4 cup of lemon juice
4 tblsp of light mayo with *****-3 (i love it!!)
1/2 cup of chopped onions
i wont type in the details on the pro/carb/fat of each item but this makes roughly about 2 servings (actually one if your really really hungry)
Servings : 2
Macros per serving:
27g protein
46g carbs
(11g being fiber, so tech. 35g of carbs)
19g of fat
so now you see the purpose of my question? what would you guys consider this meal? healthy? good meal for bulking? or this is just completely sloppy and ill get fat?
OH !! another thing, i had this after my PWO shake (about 1hr 30min after my shake) so i did work out the day i ate this, i wouldn't eat carbs on non-workout days anyways :-P
soooo..... what do you guys think?
again as always, thank you very much for all your comments and replies! i look forward to hearing from you guys !!!
