    Post cardio meal?

I know a good pw meal for weights-but is it the same after just cardio?
Now I eat a shake with 50g protein a banana and about a half cup ground up oatmeal in my shake.

I beg to differ its goal dependant if your goal during that time is gaining mass a PWO shake is excellent high GI carbs and protein followed by a meal as you get the same response of nutrient uptake as post weight training... but if cutting then avoid the high GI carbs and go with lower GI+shake PWO like the oatmeal and then a meal..

    i just eat right after.
    always fallow my proper macros
    usually 45/35/20
or if im carb depleting i ommit carbs and redistribute the calories accordingly

thing is- unless your doing balls to the wall cardio you dont need a protein shake or high GI foods... but if your doing cardio for health purposes and doing hit or something similar then i would treat it similar to a pwo type of scenerio

I have oats and chicken but that's just because it fits into my daily macros. What are your goals? The rest of your diet? What time are you doing your cardio? Fasted state?

Is it ok to have your normal PWO shake of 50g protein 50/50g dextrose/malto if you are carb cycling?

I am doing 3 days low carbs and then 1 day high. My cardio consists of 45 minutes of between 65-75% of my MHR. Just curious if i could have this shake on my high carb days.

I dont see why not, but if someone could chime in and let me know that would be great.

    Thanks.
