    is it normal for protein shakes to make you drowzy/sleepy

    never heard of it before or had it happen to me bud. been around protein supplements for about 5 years now too.

    I gotta agree. Never heard of this. Protein shakes or any protein for that matter gives me energy. Might be something else making you sleepy and its just gotten in your head that its the protein shakes.

    How much are you drinking? TOO many carbs or high glycemic carbs?

    well im actually taking a low carb isopure protein shake
    the only explenation i have for this is maybe it fills me up a lot... Normally when i get full i get sleepy..

    and i am taking the recomended 2 scoops

    When I get full I get sleepy, maybe the shake is filling him up and having a simliar effect?

    Whey always makes me tired... so does milk... who knows why.. I started drinking a shake before workout and it had me yawning the whole time. I still drink em, but they do make me sleepy and slow.

    are you getting enough sleep at night? are you taking your protein PWO? do you warm up bologna and stick it between the couch cushions and thrust into that for a good hour? just some questions that might be the reason...

    thats some funny stuff... I learn something new everyday on this board... that analogy reminds me of pumpin some big girl... stuffing it between the cushions...
