    I think i dont eat enough

    Hey guys, i just got back in the gym, and i didnt plan out a diet but im tracking what im eating for the last 4 days (2 work out days 2 off days) and when i looked at the cal and macros i thought WOW, how can this be correct.

    Im 35 and 6 feet 1 inch 297 lbs, looking to shed my fat, you can see my pic on this thread http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=333918 i didnt have my BF taken yet, i think theres no rush...

    DAY1

    10 am Shake, whole wheat bun, low fat cream cheese 370 cal, 6g fat 40g carb 31g prot

    11 am work out

    1pm steak (round) 6 oz 1 cup of rice 580 cal, 10g fat, 50g carb, 66g prot

    3 pm mixed nuts 30g 170 cal, 15g fat, 6g carb, 4g prot

    6 pm cod 225g with steamed veggies and spoon of half fat mayo 390cal, 8g fat, 15g carb, 54g prot

    9 pm shake 120 cal, 2g fat, 3g carb, 23g prot

    Total for the day: 1630 cal, 41g fat, 114g carb, 182g prot

    DAY2

    12 pm Whole wheat bagel with low fat cream cheese, shake 370 cal, 5g fat, 42g carb, 31g prot

    3 pm chicken breast, 1 large potato 500 cal, 10g fat, 50g carb, 59g prot

    6:30 pm mixed nuts 170 cal, 15g fat, 6g carb, 4g prot

    7 pm 225g cod steamed veggies half fat mayo 390cal 8g fat, 15g carb, 54g prot

    9:30 pm shake 120 cal, 2g fat, 3g carb, 23g prot

    Total for day 2: 1550 cal, 40g fat, 115g carb, 171g prot

    Only thing i changed about day 3 is i went to the gym on empty stomach with only a N03-overload (from cmi) shake 32cal, 8g carb

    i also take twice a day RED-CELLpro (from cmi)

    And day 4 is same as day 2

    So my goal is shed fat, im no cardio fan so i rather diet and work out hard to get more fat burning lean mass. But im doing some 3 days a week for now 20 mins. Thing is, im not hungry with this diet but it seems too little. Any input will be appreciated.

    Looking to shed fat, right? You need the cardio man!!!! Even though you hate it{ I do too}, you gotta do it. On an empty stomach in the A.M. is best IMO. I would cut down on the shakes and stick with whole foods.. Lose the bread also while cutting. I would also throw some oatmeal in for your breakfast and get rid of that cream cheese. Invest in some flax and have some with your protein source as your last meal. This is just some basic stuff, and while hanging out around here you will learn how to tweak your diet much better.     ^Agree with kman. Your cardio needs to be longer than 20 minutes

    And, yeah your def not eating enough. Actually your damn near starving yourself. Your gonna slow down your metabolism and not lose any fat, 1600 calories would be dangerously low for me and I'm 175lbs. When cutting I usually get 12times my weight in calories, and even that is prob a little low for some people, its different for everybody. But at your size you have got to eat more. AND CARDIO IS A MUST!!!!! All there is to it. Try and hit at the very least 35 min a day 3-5 times a week, doesnt have to be too intense 65%-70% of max hear rate. Good luck and start eating to burn fat!

    Fat loss doesn't start till the twentieth minute of cardio.

    i hear that bro... im 130 and i eat close to 3500 cal and cant move from 130... if ate 1600 id be less than just skin and bones..... That very unhealthy you should probably stay around 2400 healthy calories and increase your cardio.. Good luck ...id trade my metabolism for a couple of those pounds lol
