    Egg white

Sick of cans of tuna, what kind of stuff are you all doing for fast/easy protein? Hard boiling eggs is a pain and liquid egg whites in the supermarket are way over priced.

Raw the way to go? Aside from the whole salmonella thing what about avidin?

just take a day out of the week that you arent that busy and grill up your favorite meat or what not then just store it in the fridge and nuke it whenever you want it.

I'm somewhat of a newb in terms of diet, before I would just try to pound a lot of protein and forget the rest but I would like to get past that so I'm trying to hone in my diet but got to keep my budget within reason.

Browsing the forum for input, I find people are big on:
    obviously eggs, chicken, steak, beans
for carbs, oats, i assume the non-instant type, brown rice for carbs
Peanut butter/cottage cheese as a slow to break down protein before bed.
Theres a lot of whey protein options, I've been reading about the different mixes and I've not made a ton of sense of it yet. Anyone have any suggestions in terms of best whey protein shakes for the $$$ and what are the important differences? I assume some of them have carbs, dextrose and other sh*t stuck in there, which would be better replaced by real foods?
