What do u think about "cheat" days?

I need some help on the so called "cheat" days. I hear its good to have a cheat day once a week. I'm on a strict diet with each day consuming 350g of protien, 150g of carbs, and 50g of fats a day. My stats are 24 at 6'2'' at 220 and 12% bf. People have told me having a cheat day would help me out. So if that is the case what would a cheat day consist of?????

No a cheat day will not help you out. Perhaps from a psychological perspective but I never understood why people eat "junk". Yes perhaps a cheat meal once or twice a week, under the circumstances, wont really hurt you but there just isnt any point of having a complete day.

Yeah cheat meal not cheat day. Your body is smart and starts to adapt to what you eat on a daily basis but throwing in a cheat meal keeps the body guessing.

I agree with a one or two cheat meals a week in order to shock the body and also to break up the routine of a strict diet. By cheat meal I don't mean McDonald's or something that contains an insane amount of garbage calories.

can't stand that "cheating shocks the body" b.s.

if you feel overwhelmed with your diet, then take a break. cook up a healthy meal that has a higher amount of carbs than normal. eat some sweet fruit. eating a load of shit is not beneficial.

i would do some research on carb cycling. on high carbs days, you can eat essentially all the carbs you can get your hands on. whole wheat pancakes, whole wheat bread, fruits... i mean its endless. that is the best "shock" you can provide. i don't know if Spound is around anymore, but he has great info on what i'm talking about. Bino also has some posts on the subject.
