    Waxy Maize Question

    I was in a wholesale nutrition store today and i came across something that i read alot about and hear alot about

    waxy maize

    from the description, its a great glycogen loader? great to fuel muscles DURING workout? and great for post workout too?

    i dont know.... i need some clearing up of all this, can you guys help me understand a bit better this wazy maize stuff? how can it be "superb" for all 3 things (pre, during and post) ??

    dont get me wrong, for pre mix it with protein, for during mix it with creatine and bcaa, and for post mix it with more creatine and protein

    but yea.... is waxy maze really REALLY this good?! or no, you cant use it for all of them?

    its suppose to be the best with little to no bloat. thats what vitargo by nutrex.

    i just grabbed some vitargo yesterday,,, you suppose to load for 5 days then run a maintance dose,,, but since i cant due to my diet i only use post workout,, IMO just laod then after run just after WO

    The reason its good is that it replaces muscle glycogen faster than any other available carbs. Because having high muscle glycogen makes for a good workout then it follows that this would be good for use before and for the same reason afterwards.

    would you use this in replace of , anabolic window and anatorp70 ? witha 50g pro shake ?

    but... what about the during part?

    same scenario. people like to make sure there glyco stores are topped up during workout so they drink carbs. Not something I have found useful but some do.

    hmm.... maybe ill give it a try... ill do maybe, 20-30g, ill let you guys know if i feel or notice anything different

    Although i felt it helped with energy levels i found it caused fat gain for me. I consume quite a few carbs pre and post anyway so adding them during was probably just spilling over and leading to fat gain. Find out what works for you. If you are a hard gainer then it could be great.

    ditto, and since lipolysis if a viable form of attaining energy for recovery pwo im not a huge fan of super high GI foods pwo unless im using slin. (aint easy being and endomorph
