Work interfering with diet - need help!

So I do my best to maintain a healthy diet, but my schedule makes it really hard to do so. I'm a full time college student, and I have 2 basically full time jobs as well - one as a DJ, and the other working in a Steakhouse as a waiter. I'm rarely home, and usually get home no ear;lier than 10 pm (usually later). I usually work long hours at the restaurant, and I am unable to eat during the shift, other than to snack on bread that they serve (Oh No! Carbs!). I usually try to slip a protein bar or beef jerky in my pocket to snack on but I'm still starving by the end of my shift. I usually end up eating a huge meal at the end of the night and then go home and go to bed, unless I'm DJing in which case I head straight to the club afterwards, and have to find something healthy to eat when I get out at 4 am. I fully understand the idea behind small meals and keeping a constant level of energy but often times it's just not possible for me to do. I do try to eat healthy as best I can in any given situation, but does anyone have any suggestions as to a better way to eat and plan my meals?

Protein shakes are great, tuna packets, peanuts, wheat bread, oatmeal, etc. etc. Find a way to make it work. I'm also a college student.

Yeah I hear ya. It's not so much the college thing that interferes so much as work. I try to snack as much as I can, but it's not realistic to suck down a tuna packet or have a jar of nuts up at the DJ booth at the clubs I play at.

Say you're going to take a shit and eat tuna and peanuts in the stall! LOL

If my boss gives me shit about eating I say "Other people go outside for 5 minutes for smoke breaks right? But I can't do something healthy..."

BTW what clubs do you play at? I'm up in Chicago quite a bit, my gf lives there.

Yeah with the restaurant job I can sneak away for a quick few, but the DJ thing not so much. Somebody has to mix in the next track!

And I play all over - Vision, smartbar, Zentra. No solid residencies right now, just more something I do for fun.

I am an oilfield worker and, at times, it becomes very difficult to maintain proper caloric intake etc etc. I work twelve hr shifts and then drive two hours to and from. Add a trip to the gym and you get the picture. What I found to work best for me was to make a weeks worth of portioned out meals and freeze them in tupperware or whatever. Take out a few days of meals at a time. It takes two or three hours on a non workout day but saves plenty of time and effort in the long run. The easiest way to f**k up ur diet is to have nothing on hand to eat. Microwaved chicken and rice is better than microwaved pizza etc. If you dont, this usually leads to grabbing the nearest crap u can eat, for me anyhow. Goos luck....
