Red Wine?????? On diet...
Hello my friends! I lift 6 days a week and do cardio 7 days a week. I'm 6'3 245lbs. My biggest problem is not my diet with food but it is my love for a drink or 2 at night. I was wondering if anyone knows if a glass or 2 of red wine will affect my diet in a small or large way or at all...Any input is welcome and appreciated, thanks.

Copy that Goose4! Thanks for the quick response. I figure it's better than drinking a six pack everynight...

Ok, sounds good. Stay away from the white wine, correct?

Wow a glass of red wine only has 85 calories, didn't know that. Any clue on how many sugars it contains? 2 glasses followed by a few glasses of water wouldn't do much harm imo.

considering all the antioxidants and resveratrol in red wine i realllly reallllllly wouldn't worry about a glass or two a night, it's even supposed to help you metabolize fat

RED wine is ok, it does have some sugar that you normally wouldnt want at night but it is one of those things like acai that even given the sugar content, the antioxidants are so powerful that they do more good than harm IMO. ie recovery is going to be better when taking good antioxidants. Just keep it to a minimum.

It all really comes down to what your goals are... if you want to look good and have a couple glasses of wine go for it... but if you want to be shredded for competition or something hell no... as red wine is has health benefits but its still alcohol and is calorie dense as was mentioned...

LOL...I wish... No, I just love porches and like salmon. I'd rather eat a burger and drink a beer but I'm trying to watch what I eat and still have a drink or 2...
