Wheat bread
Ok ..i found a loaf of wheat bread that has 70cal and 13carb for one slice ....so whats so wrong with having 2 slices to make up for 1/2 cup of oatmeal or rice that you might have for that meal...on a cutting diet .....just wondering

I see nothing wrong with that. Oatmeal works for me though because wheat products tend to give me a little bit of bloat.

depends on the glycemic index number.it all depends on is it 100% whole wheat, wheat only then there is white. look it up the lower the number the slower the release and ultimatley more beneficial for muscle and minimzes insulin production, etc. pick your spots with bread but i would stick to brown rie, oats majority of time. but bread has its place.

WW bread digests faster than oats, which makes it could be a good source of pre workout carbs. I eat a tuna sandwich with two slices of WW bread pre workout.
Also, white bread is a good source of high glycemic post workout carbs.

IMHO, as far as wholewheat breads go, their GI values are too unpredictable (usually on the higher side) depending on brand/baker/recipe to replace traditional lower GI foods... so I go breadless while cutting...during maintenance and bulking however, I don't worry so much

i change out oats for rye bread some times.... to change it up a bit...

Its all about bloat and sodium for me. Bread just makes me feel bloated, ill make a sandwich every once in a while when looking at oats starts to make me want to puke.

I use %100 Whole Wheat by Sara Lee. It hasn't ever affected me and it's not expensive.

ezekiel WW bread has been the best bet I've seen so far.
I usually stick to sweet potatoes or oats, unless i get in a pickle
