    Travelling and diet/training-any ideas??

Ok people I need some thoughts here

I am travelling around the country a bit for the next couple of months. This causes havoc with diet and training for the following reasons

Most hotels only supply cardio equipment IF they have a gym and this is not of much use when I,m bulking

I can,t take in a blender a weeks worth of milk egg whites ect into a hotel room.

So training wise I can do things like pressups sissy squats some sort of resistance training

Diet wise I,m gonna make some of Tobeys protein bars so I can eat them and make sure I,m getting enough protein.

Carbs should,nt be a problem as I will be living out of a resturant!

Anybody know of a good protein that mixes well with water a fork and a cup?At least I can take this into the room without getting odd looks! Most say they blend well without a blender but end up looking like lumpy river water

    Thanks guys

BB...I used to travel a lot as well. I always managed to find a small gym in every town I visited. If that's impossible get about 8-10ft (3 meters) of surgical tubing, a few plastic handles and make a little travel gym. I used to do bi's, tr's, shoulders, chest and back with this little device. I also went out and bought a little microwave (it was like $100) threw it inmy trunk and used it to cook food in my room. Just a couple of suggestions britha.

Well I personnally either take a shaker or a hand held blender.

Take a tub of protein and a tub of carbs. So at least I can have protein and carbs.

On hols I bought protein and carbs and a shaker.

help if you hotel room as a fridge.

Yeah Pete, the surgical tubing works great! And you can buy them designed for pushups. check it out

    fitbuy

For your diet, take your protein powder and put individual servings in ziplock bags. Buy a wand mixer. They'll fit easily in a small suitcase and clean real easy under hot water.

i've never used a blender for any of my "shakes"

    strictly water, powder, cup, fork

night formula from proteinfactory.com takes about 8 seconds to 'blend'...

MaxMuscle's ProMax protein is way easy mixable brother .... get a 16 oz plastic water bottle ... use some paper to funnel the protein into it and poor your water in 8-12 oz or so ...shake a couple times your done ... then rinse and your ready for another ...

I personnally believe that protein that mixes so easily has been heat treated to such a point that the quality of the protein has been affected.

Al, did you read this or is this your experience from digestion? I'd like to know if this has been found to be true.

I would be interested to know Big Al .... Promax is a blend of whey and casein proteins..... ( i think I spelled that wrong ...) its just a straight protein powder . the PrimoMax has got carbs and is a bit more difficult to mix ... not too bad however .....

Just a thought ... I switched from Myoplex and Metrx .... Both were hard to mix .... But I didn't see them help me physically .... It really felt as if maybe there wasn't anything other than a flavored milk packet of fluff .The MaxMuscle products I have noticed more hardness and lean muscle gain ....

I in no way own interest or sponsor MaxMuscle Products ..... hehe

We're forgetting the obvious...protien bars. No mixing and plenty of variety. Flavored soy nuts, and I make my own bars from natural granola and natural PB. Mix um up and bake for a few. a little crunchy, and hmm good.

Granola's primary ingredient is oats, and plain granola has less than 9 grams of fat per 1/2 cup. Buy a brand with no trans fats, Most good brands use coconut oil which Approximately 50% of the fatty acids in coconut fat are lauric acid. Lauric acid is a medium chain fatty acid, which has the additional beneficial function of being formed into monolaurin in the human or animal body. Monolaurin is the antiviral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal monoglyceride used by the human or animal to destroy lipid coated viruses such as HIV, herpes, cytomegalovirus, influenza, various pathogenic bacteria including listeria monocytogenes and heliobacter pylori, and protozoa such as giardia lamblia. Some studies have also shown some antimicrobial effects of the free lauric acid. The only other abundant source found in nature is in human breast milk.
