    Diet update

It's been quite some time since I posted here so I thought I'd post an update and another question. Here is my original diet post http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=333500

Now I'll admit that I probably cheated more than I should have, and could have done more cardio, but the results have been great. I had my bodyfat read last wednesday for fire academy assessment. I want to say it was like a 6 point test (back, chest, tri, lat, ab, quad) and they read me at 12.4% at 181 pounds Still can't see abs though, so the diet continues, or better yet I'll try harder not to cheat.

Here's my question though... In a week I'll start the fire academy, where morning cardio is pretty much a daily thing. But that means no breakfast at home. I know real food is my best bet, but if I were to replace some of my morning protein with a shake would whey be the best option, or should I look into something else? I was thinking of maybe picking up a bit of that powdered egg white protein, is it even close to the liquid egg whites I've been eating?

My plan is/was to take 2-3 hardboiled eggs, a shake and some oatmeal with me and eat that after PT. I haven't really looked into macros yet though as I wanted to get a better idea of what I'll be taking to eat.

    Thanks bros

eating is what your priority should be. whey will work, casein would work, egg protein would work. ideally if you have the money i would do a whey/casein split if you need to use a shake. oats will work for your carbs too.

will you be able to have a meal 2 hours after this shake?

Not 100% sure, I'm assuming at the least I'll have time to slam down a shake, and then eat a proper meal at lunch, followed by a shake a some point and then real food once I get home. Just seems like a lot of liquid to me, guess I'll have to up the fiber supps too. Orientation is tomorrow so I'm hoping to know more a bout the daily schedule then.

yeah it would be better to eat some meat. you can bring turkey with you and a sweet potato. couple ziplock bags is all it would take. fast as hell to eat too.

Here's what I've got after my orientation. Day starts at 7 am, PT for 1 hour (PT instructor says a mix of cardio, weights, etc--but I have a feeling the emphasis is cardio, mainly running) 830 class starts, then lunch somewhere around 11-12, day ends about 4 pm. With it all subject to change at the instructors whim. I'll be leaving the house no later than 6 am

    So here's what I'm thinking....

1 scoop whey at 6 am
1 scoop ON Pro Complex + oats and 2 hard boiled eggs at 8 am
Chicken or turkey breast + sweet potato or broccoli at 11-12
2 scoops whey at 4 pm
Dinner yet to be decided 7-8 pm depending on when the wife gets home

Still haven't macro'd it, but does it seem like something I can get away with for six months. Sure is a lot of shakes, but I don't know that I'll be allowed time to eat proper food except at lunch.
