    Sodium a problem?

im currently trying to lean up for the summer, you know like everyone else, just tryin too lost some fat i have accumulated at the bottom of my belly (the top 4 abs still show btw) but my bottom has gotten a bit on the soft side :'(

so im cutting back a bit on fat and some carbs, but then im wondering, should sodium be an issue? i dont remember if i should avoid sodium while cutting or not? a friend of mine at a vitamin shop said sodium shouldnt be an issue if im drinking alot alot of water, which i currently am, almost 2gallons a day throughout my meals, but then is this info accurate? if i drink alot of water, sodium should not be an issue?

thanks alot in advance for helping me clear this up guys!!

Assuming your BP is within a healthy range, sodium shouldn't be an issue.

sodium wont prevent you from losing fat, although sometimes you are'nt able to see the true results of what you've lost as you are retaining water if you take in too much. i usually dont cut the sodium till the end of my cutting cycle so i can see the full results of what i've done.
