How many of you eat banana while on a cutting diet?? I know a medium size banana has a 30g carb but what about sugar? I was thinking to eat 1 banana PWO along my shake. what do you guys think?

Go for it. Make sure if fits into your daily macros but it's a good PWO alternative.

I dont know how much sugar is in a banana, but when I cut I try to avoid fruit because of sugars. Obviously there are many worse things you could snack on, but it all depends on how serious you are trying to cut.
I could be wrong and maybe the best body builders secretly eat a banana everyday, but my 2 cents is avoid fruit when you are cutting.
Last night, at the Fort Myers BB championship I attended, Mr. Silky's legs were so shredded it has inspired me to try to stay away from sugars for a while.
Good luck.

I just checked Chiquita's website and it says that a 125g banana (small size) contains 21g of sugar!! isnt that too much for a single banana??

yes but you have to take into account that most of the sugar from a banana is fructose, fructose replenishes liver glycogen before it can be used for muscle glycogen and happens to have a much lower GI would be considered a low/moderate GI food the only way fructose can be used for muscle glycogen is through a process (cant recall the name of the process right now) where the body converts it at a loss of energy to glycogen... which is why including fiber a banana has a low GI the sugars are more readily available as energy but due to the lower impact on blood sugar have a much lower chance of being stored as fat specifically before or after intense training... now if you're as insulin insensative as me I would drop the banana and just blend up some oats with whey (my current PWO shake)..... but if thats not the case then I dont see any reason not include the fruit...

nix the PB post-workout. The fat will slow down protein absorption.
