Fed up of chicken, tuna, white fish, an alternative is cow hearts!
This sounds disgusting but it actually isn't. If you think about what a heart is, cardiac muscle is the highest quality muscle there is as it's working constantly. It's very low in fat and high in protein.it should be sliced in strips , Grilled or fried with onions, garlic and herbs it's actually really nice and can be served with wholegrain rice. If you can get over the idea of eating a heart I would highly recommend it because turkey tuna White fish chicken etc can get boring very quickly

Forgot to say, breakdown of nutritional value per 100grams approx
Protein 30g
Fat. 4g
Of which saturates 1.2g
Sodium 50mg
It's low in sodium, very high in iron, high in niacin, B12 , zinc , selenium and riboflavin
Only bad point is high in cholesterol just like shrimp, so good alternative just not too often

I eat a variety of meats, including organ meats. Hardly ever eat chicken. Way too dull for me.
Can't say that the thought of cow hearts excites me though. On an animal that big it'd be pretty tough by comparison to smaller animals imho.
I'll stick to turkey hearts.

Shakes brotha, yes it is as gross as it sounds. But, the quantity you down to time spent chewing is unbeatable. When I hit my next cycle the shakes will be incorporated in my diet quite a bit.
Chicken and brown rice with a little water.
Chicken and oats with a little water.
Lean ground beef with oats or brown rice.
And just about anything else that fills the macros well.

I've eaten beef heart and other that the mental image it is just like all other beef. It doesn't taste like organ meat. Like brisket it can be tough if improperly prepared. Cut it into "rings" like a bell pepper, whack it with a meat tenderizer mallet and season to taste. Brown in a skillet then into the oven with mushrooms, peppers, onion and garlic cloves. Good eats.

I tried hart tonight, wow it's surprisingly nice, I think it would work well in a curry or with spice rubs. Im surprised because I expected it to taste like liver.
I had it tonight with split eye peas cook until they go soft and soggy, then I mash them up. Taste lovely like creamy mash potato, also had green beans with gravy over the top of it all. Hmmm was delish.
Thanks for the idea :-)

Liked it, now it can be a relatively cheap high protein component of your diet!
