    Talking eating every 2.5-3 hrs questine...

    stats...32yrs old
    5ft 6in
    200lbs
    powerlifter
    been training 14yrs
    want to be 220lbs


    So I've read that your susposed to eat every 2.5-3hrs (which I have been) but what if I' hungry before my time is up...should I eat and start the clock over again...I ususally do but it's a snack and not as much as I would have if I'd held out the full time...but I'm hungry or I'm thinking about eating and do so...advice please...

    Some peeps eat every 2 hrs mate, i try and keep to 2.5 hrs, but i think the time line is eat every 2 to 3 hours as it keeps your nitrogen balance positive or something and i've read that a positive nitrogen balace is good for growth. I'm sure some of the veterans will be along to give you some good advice.

    Good luck with your goals.

    I dont think a healthy snack if your feeling peckish will hurt too much mate, just try and keep it healthy lol cause we all know how good some snacks taste but they full of crap nutrition.

    Yeh me too, theres a great bunch of guys and ladies on here all willing to help and share what they know, easily the best forum on the web for people interested in bodybuilding, fitness ect.

    Blackster already gave you the best advice, bump it to every 2-2 1/2 or eat a tad more at each meal.

    Some will suggest to curb the carb intake in the evenings but seeing you are a powerlifter and seeking to gain 20lbs I would eat every 2-2 1/2 hours right up until bedtime.

    ok...i get up once in the middle of the night to have a shake or a PB&J...or both...
