Thread: Oats vs Kashi Go Lean

Oats vs Kashi Go Lean
Lets say, McCann Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal since instant oats suck
and Kashi Go Lean.
Which would be a better pick?
Go Lean has more protein and fiber. But Oatmeal is one of the healthiest things to eat.
What about the GI of the 2?
Or, incorporating both into a diet....
Feedback/thoughts on these 2...
Thanks.

the thing i have to ask is if your having it w/ milk? that would exponentially screw up the comparison with the lactose in the milk. I personaly love kashi go lean it is a great proiduct, they have a very good prouct line in general but that is a fantastic cereal, i feed it to my 2 year old and he lioves it, makes me feel good about it. it tends to be very rough, so I have his sit in milk for a little while to soften it up. But how would you eat it? if with milke, it turns it into an unwanted sugar fest that is unnesasary when/if your cutting

^^^^Good point. I def wouldnt eat it during cutting. But then again, I barley eat oats either when Im cutting. But for bulking I'm definately gonna give it a go.....BigSexxy the sugar number I came up with was from the USDA site, about 3.5oz serving(100 grams).

The Kashi tastes better, but buying steel cut oats in bulk is way cheaper. I eat both, but buy much more of the oats.

I like Kashi cereals, my girlfriend bought some the other day. The
honey toasted oats." It has 5 grams of sugar, but it sure beats the blandness of oats.
