Exclamation !!! Myth About Soy, Soy Protein Promotes Muscle Loss?????

i was just skimming through some research on soy on
    http://www.ast-ss.com/articles/article.asp?AID=236

"One recent study has shown that SPI supplementation may actually retard muscle gains when consumed as part of a high protein diet.[51] In this study, supplementation with SPI (38gms/day for an 80kg person) during a high protein diet resulted in a loss of dietary nitrogen (protein) compared to supplementation with dairy proteins"

currently i've been adding defatted soy flour into my diet just because it taste good, im not having its protein as my base-protein- intake

im consuming around 300 gm a day, and may be getting around 50 more from soy flour!! could it be harming me!!! or this is just a myth and the goddamn webside just wanna sell its whey??

PLEASE HELP ME OUT..... i dont know if im just paraoid or im feeling like im making loss from "eating MORE protein" this is ridiculous

Big time myth. I will wait for Nark to chime in on this one, he is a huge proponent of Soy protein and has schooled many a soy-fearing body-builder on this discussion board. If you do a search you may be able to find the most recent thread where he discusses it. Wish I could help more, but all I can tell you is that it is in fact 100% myth, bs, over-exaggeration, whatever you want to call it. Keep soying it up brotha.
