Is there a specific reason you are wanting to go low sodium?

cause there's almost 3 times that amount of sodium in 1 8oz serving of the regular V8.

arent V8s 16oz? lil bit of 1k mg of sodium in one drink.

I am not sure how many mgs of sodium there are in a 16oz one. I just see alot of people avoiding sodium for no reason.

yeah, 8oz regular is about 500mg sodium

And the cans are 12 oz.

But if I down a couple a day, thats around 1300 mg sodium right there.

Sodium is actually one of a bodybuilders best friends. I keep mine around 5,000-8,000 and have gone as high as 16,000 when sodium loading for a contest. Unless you have some BP issues I wouldnt worry about avoiding it and would actually think more along the lines of being sure you have enough in you.

ive been hearing some people say this lately. Could you elaborate a bit more if you dont mind...I know one member had previously stated that there will be an intitial bloat from going up this high, but that your body will eventually adjust to it. How much water are you consuming daily?

Yes, there is an initial bloat but your body (or at least mine does) adjust fairly quickly. I have found it way more effective for getting a really dry look than any kind of carb manipulation. I also prefer it to carb depleting/loading as the chance of spilling over is decreased also. Water intake is always high, usually around the 2 gallons a day mark.

Nice man, thanks! I think I might actually give this a try. So how do you intentionally take in more sodium w/o taking in junky calories, just use salt???, lol....Im so use to doing the opposite.

    id like to know also.

i use sea salt with iodine, but i dont go crazy with it. i think its hard to get a lot of sodium if you cook your own food.

I find just pouring soy sauce over by ground beef or turkey while cooking it works just fine. On most brands a 1/2 cup will get you almost 8 grams. You can also do broth.

Let me know how it turns out for you. Apologies to Bigsexy, I feel like we kinda hijacked your thread. Would be nice to start a new one on sodium and get some other views and opinions.
