    Lucozade?

    Hey

Im on a bulking diet, im reaching 4000 cals per day right now, but in those 4000 cals, about 750 of them are from lucozade, it kind of feels like cheating to get cals up, but it gives me a energy boost for the gym.

Im just wondering if its ok to count the cals from the Lucozade in my daily count, on a bulk, you have to count the cals from everything right? Cals are cals?

    Thanks

I don't even know what it is but after a quick search it sounds like something that shouldn't even be in your diet. Appears to be sugar water with no protein or fats and all carbs coming from sugar?

    Hi

Sorry, I didnt realise it wasnt a big drink over in the states. Its an energy drink as you now know, thanks for doing a search.

Ok after today I will take it out of my daily diet.

    Thanks

Do you have the entire nutritional facts? I couldn't find exactly what's in it but it did just look like sugar water.

    Yes, on the bottle:

    500ml bottle
    1490 Energy KJ
    350 kcal
    86g Carbs.....
    68g from sugars
    No Fats
    No Protein

Not a good drink, I just usually have one before going to the gym, I was just wondering if I should be counting the calories from it in my daily diet, I think I should.

    Thanks

Yes you should be counting them but I would get rid of the drink all together. Stick to a cup of coffee, fat burner, or green tea if you need the energy.

How does the diet look and are you drinking this pre-lifting or pre-cardio? You could have some flaws in the diet if you're in need of the pick-me-up.

i agree on both points, also, you could use anhydrous caffeine for an energy boost, and caffeine has been shown to decrease catabolism during intense exercise, so it's a triple threat, increase metabolism, increase energy and focus, and keep muscle breakdown to a minimum
