are enzyme supplements necessary
I dont know if I should put this in here or the supps section. I heard that your enzyme production goes down as you age. if Im nearing my 40's should I consider supplenting w/ anything for digesting foods.

try em out,, if you get really gasy and upset stomach,, there not needed what so ever,, means u have more then enough enzymes,,,,, why not just eat veggies with your meals,, they pack a nice amount of digestive enzymnes

I'd count enzymes right up there with my top 10 'must-have' supplements personally.
Enzymes' uses/effects in the body are not limited to the digestive environment.
But, w/ reference to said environment, the more we can assimilate... the higher our feed efficiency...
Bromelaine for one, is my mainstay.
Great anti-inflammatory... awesome protein digestive aide...great assistive therapy as an anti-coagulant...
Bromelaine has also been pegged as a plausible potential treatment in autoimmune disease.
I started to use it heavily when i had soft tissue injury from a high impact car accident some weeks back.
...and, what should've taken months to heal, took weeks.
I was out of the gym for only one day in fact.
Food for thought.

Source natural makes a great multi enzyme product. If you cook your meat, eggs, drink shakes, use the microwave then you need to take an enzyme supplement. Also probiotic is another an important supplement you should be taking.
