What are your top 5 carb low Gi Sources?

Sweet potatoes i read someone post, anyone, right now i use heart healthy oatmeal wheat bread, brown rice, which i just learned isn't good at all, Anyone?

Also. i calculated my Macros for my food which i'll just post... what am i lacking....?!?!

    Calories: 4700
    Fat: 132g (29%)
    Protein: 380g (35%)
    Carbs: 391g (36%)

I've been working hard trying to get a perfect diet for myself, some say i have an excellent diet others that i lack this or that, i know percentages dont lie, so what are those percentages everyone shoots for?

    Responses are appreciated..

Is there a big difference between regular potatoes and sweet potatoes GI speaking??? Here we don't have sweet potatoes all the year, just on season.

i find that tubers are the best carb sources in regard to how they make me feel and how i react to them. they are low GI, and sweet potatoes seem to be the best fit for me. do you have yams?

Lol, it's also a little higher on the GI side, but I guess it's ok PWO. I'd say Oatmeal is the bulk of my lower GI carbs. Sometimes brown/white rice PWO (if you don't mind white rice).

Nope. We don't have any of the following:
    http://www.foodsubs.com/Sweetpotatoes.html

Just the regular all purpose potatoe, white or the chinese potatoe or "washed potatoe"
I mean if you are lucky, you can finds some class of Sweet potatoes out of season from time to time, in a very special market, but its sold as an imported delicatessen and the prize is pornographic. I can't aford if it has to be a must on my every day diet.

Speaking from a purely nutritional standpoint this is not a diet that everyone should follow.

Eating the same thing day in and day out for an extended period of time can lead to deficiencies in certain amino's, lead to slective and weakened digestion (intolerances) and also deficiencies in EFA's, especially in the case of a very low fat diet which includes limited protein sources.

May work well for attaining a good look, but for overall health this is not optimal.

you bring up a very good point bino. for me it is easy to bring chicken to work along with a couple potatoes. for breakfast i will have a varying protein source. usually some eggs and steak. and later in the evening i will again have a varying protein source. the chicken is only for about 4 meals out of my 7 daily, for 3-4 days a week. thanks for pointing that out, and allowing me to clear it up.

Well we know you know what you're doing so its not a prob. You have been doin it for a long time and know what you gotta do. I just think some of the new guys who try something like this could run into probs down the road.
