    Hypothetical GI rating

I don't want to practice what I am about to address, mainly due to the fact that I don't want to spend all day eating.

I realize that carbs with a lower GI are more beneficial due to being released more slowly into the body and keeping more consistent blood levels.

Would one be just as well off eating a higher GI carb, just in smaller doses and more frequently to achieve the same levelness of the blood levels (given same sugar content etc.)? An example 1/4 cup brown rice or 1/4 cup white rice split into 2 separate meals.

This hypothetical is similar to what we do with short ester gear by shooting more frequently at lower doses.

I have no intention of trying this, just in my quest for always learning more about all aspects of this lifestyle, it was something I couldn't find a direct answer to. It just intuitively made since based on all my other readings on the subject.

i doubt it, because if you think of it like a spike chart(think heart rate monitor, where it spikes everytime the heart beats), then you can imagine that something with a quick release would cause a spike, and taking smaller doses would only cause smaller spikes as opposed to bigger ones, also, the smaller spike wouldn't last as long, so in effect you would just be creating a constant ^^^^^^^^ of your blood sugar levels, that's my opinion anyway

Thanks, I wasn't sure to what extent the spikes would occur. I guess you would literally need to eat a bite of food every minute or so throughout the day to have similar effects on the blood level.

you want to keep blood SUGAR levels constant, but low. so eating lower GI carbs throughout teh day is your best bet in that regard.
