Hypothetical diet question about meal frequency..

Not saying this is something I would be able to do. But just cause I'm curious. What if you took your total calories (carbs/fat/protein) for the day.
Put all that food in a huge bowl, than just slowly ate it throughout the whole day?

Like no meals, just real slow eating, like a bite every 5 mins lol.
I know its stupid but would this wind up becoming an *advantage or *disavantage?

I'm just thinking I do 6 small meals everyday but if I bumped it down to maybe 8 or 9 smaller meals would that be pointless? Whats the largest recommended division of meals a day?
Is there a point where it just becomes pointless?

I've been quoted Milos Sarcev a lot lately, but he seems to think the more meals the better. He says that a few of his clients eat a meal EVERY hour they're awake (17-18 meals/day).

May as well hook up a tube that goes directly into your stomach. Not a bad idea...

You know this is a question i always wanted to know.

Some guys even old pros before had told me he wasn't concerned about the exact timing.

He was always about the calories and still is.

I find this works for me. I try not to focus to much on special cutting or bulking diets.

For me the calories is always number1. I try to divide my diet into like 5 evenly planned meals.

So total calories / 5. then try to make all 5 meals the same calories.

    i dont time then though.

and as far as bulking cutting goes i just tailor my foods to cut.

Like obviously ground beef i cant eat when i cut since it has to many calories. But it might fit in with the numbers for bulking.

hey btw Nova how is your training going. Are you doing shows what are your stats at i remember your old pic you were pretty big

I have asked this question before and didn't really get a good answer.

I have noticed that newborn babies prefer to eat about every 2-3 hours. Coincidence?

separation of meals allows for proper hormone regulation. different hormones at different times before, during, and after meals. also allows for some free fatty acid oxidation into the bloodstream. muscle repair, fat loss, and proper regulation of bodily systems relies on rhythms of digestion and fast.

exactly how a diet should be planned. keep all meals equal in calories starting with a caloric number divided by a meal number. nice.

i love any red meat while cutting or bulking. allows me to easier hit macros spreads. i am not concerned with the leanness of my beef.

i don't compete. thinking about it in the future, but in reality... i just dont have the genetics. i weigh like 210, but Ive seen guys weigh 190 that look bigger. i don't have the "aesthetic bodybuilding" look. but i still train and am beginning another bulking phase right now. naturally. i'm up a few pounds in a feew weeks and strength is still progressing.

yeah, i mean, i have lots of experience in this area, because i was on a tube feed and also, my little nephew is still on a G tube. both of us, being tube fed; what is done is that you "hang a feed" bag, and let it run for awhile. then you go about your normal activity, and you hang a new feed bag again later. i've had so many injuries, that i've had all kinds of feeds. the "perfect" type of feed, is just an IV feed, which goes direct to the blood, without any kind of digestion...they call that parenteral, but for a liquid tube feed diet, that is an enteral feed, and it is done at intervals. anything more frequent than 2 hours is probably not really needed, but i think 1 hour would be the limit. i would not just eat continously every five minutes, although i did know a pretty big guy who would sip protein drinks all during the day, similar to the way most people take a cigarette break or drink coffee. he was probably sipping on that protein bottle every 15 minutes.

Well since noone really said it would be a bad idea, or a waste of time, I actually did 8 meals today.
Every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm. For some reason I actually (prob food placebo lol) but I actually feel like just more umphh in my muscles. Its gotta be psychological but I just feel like my body is armed & ready for a workout right now, as late as it is.

I'm gonna try the 8 meals a day and see how my body responds to it, and I'll let you guys know if I notice any changes in the next few weeks that aren't normal.

8 meals should be good. just don't eat too much at those 8 meals...have nice little portions. I do about 8 meals per day, but some of those "meals" are protein shakes, some fast digesting proteins, and some slower ones.
