I don't have the time to cook a lot of times. Plus I need something while I am at work. I can't take a break and get a full meal so I figure this would be better than nothing.

What would be a good protein bar if not that one?

you can make your own and plan ahead. try cottage cheese or ground turkey or something. if you have time to eat a bar you have time to eat some cottage cheese.

The problem with cottage cheese is that I want to throw up everywhere even at the sight of it. I could never eat that stuff.

Those bars are tasty but 16g's of fat just isn't for me. Check out Promax' bars or Carb Rite.

as was suggested get a protein powder instead of the bars if you can. over a period of time the protein powder may even be abit easier on the hip pocket instead of buying the bars all the time. add half a scoop of flavoured protein to cottage cheese and it mite be a little better in taste for you or even grind up oats add protein powder and drink it, the same could even be done with eggs if your game. and finaly im sure i read on here somewhere about a recipe for a tuna shake...would taste filthy im sure, but packs a decent amount of protein you could get down fast

Plan ahead... Cook all your (especially lunches) you'll need for the week ahead of time and take them with you pre-made... I'm in school now and I carry 4 meals with me to get me through day as I'm on campus all day...

Diet is 80% of your gains, so make it count!

I'm a big fan of EAS myoplex bars. They come in low carb options too. I'd recommend them...

I eat a Power Bar 3 times a week while I'm at work. When you have whey in the am, after workout and before bed it gets to be a little much. So on the nights I work I have a protien bar during the time I am busiest. But I also eat 5 real meals in the day as wel as 3 shakes. Bars are an okay meal replacement if you get sick of shakes. But a meal is always way better of course if you have time.

I prefer balance bar, the yogurt honey peanut flavor is absolutely amazing, and they aren't hard to chew like all the rest. they are nice and soft and taste great and are low in carbs with 17 grams of protein (i know not a lot but at least they are edible). i would still the single glass bottles of isopure over a bar though if ur in a rush. 40 grams of the highest quality protein per bottle, but they are kinda pricey.

i eat zone perfect bars... only 15 grams per bar but i find it easier to eat two of those than one bar with 30 grams... theyre like rubber and i can even finish them.
