    what am i doing wrong?

    i am trying to bring my bf down and put on some lean muscle.
    5'9 190lbs
    here is pretty much my eating for a regular day

    6 am - protein shake
    9 am -1 can of tuna with chopped bell pepper
    -half cucumber
    -few carrots
    12 noon- 2 boneless & skin less chicken breast on salad
    - low fat yogurt
    - 1 apple
    2pm--- WORKOUT ---
    3:30pm - post workout shake
    5:00pm - dinner varies each day - but no junk
    8:00 - either 1 chicken breast or a can of tuna

    also i drink alot of water throughout the day..
    p.s. will drinking green tea daily help with the cutting?

    It's difficult to cut fat and gain muscle at the same time, I'm not saying it can't be done, but if I were you I'd do a good cutting diet to lose some BF and then from there decide if you want to do a lean bulk. It looks to me like you're not getting enough food. Especially not enough carbs.
    Try to revise your diet around this outline.
    I don't necesarily mean the exact same meals but the portions and macros should be similar.

    Meal 1:
    4 egg whites (including 1whole egg)
    1 cup oats
    Fish/flax oil (2 capsules)

    Meal 2:
    1 can of Albacore in water
    Green veggies (steamed)
    Sweet potato

    Meal 3:
    1 cup cooked brown rice or red potatoes with 4 oz chicken breast and broccoli

    Meal 4:
    Repeat meal 3, add flax/fish oil

    Work out
    Followed by
    PWO Shake

    Meal 6:
    Repeat meal 2 except remove sweet potato. Add some almonds and FF cottage cheese or casein shake before bed.



    Also what is your BF% and age?
