    Fiber, how much and when?

    Whatsup guys?
    Listen, when I first showed Nark my cutting diet (im in week5 day 2)
    he told me that before my last meal (3whole 80g jumbo eggs, 2 tbsp peanut butter) .
    He told me that it's too high in fat. So with your (ever1ones) I changed my diet

    If you've been following youd know that now I eat
    1C eggwhites
    2 tablespoon of Natural Peanut Butt.

    He had told me that while high in fat, he would add fiber to my diet.
    I just bought sugar free metamucil.....
    (im pissed that the ingredients contain (just found out) maltodextrin)
    even though it says 0g sugar per serving.

    How much should I take? One serving=1tsp.

    I eat 1.5 Cups oatmeal daily spread over 3 meals.
    How much fiber do you think I need?

    I would honestly add a veggies to every meal, except breakfast and PWO.
    Veggies give you fiber and keep you feeling full and also slow down digestion so carbs or protein have a steady flow into your system.
    Try and stick with whole food vs that, ideally you'd want your body to try and break it down, try...
    Stick with fiberous carbs.

    I get my fiber from my beans, veggies, and fruits. Fiber is key in increasing and enhancing optimal health. You can get all the fiber you need naturally and not processed. Joel Furhman suggests up to 50 grams of fiber a day (Eat to Live, 2003).

    Most people don't even get 20 grams of fiber per day.

    Cardiodan, you should be getting at least 30 grams per day...as your maintenance kcal-intake will be around 2800.

    I'd add a fiber supp @ around 5 gr per meals personally.

    Thats why I eat 7-8 cups of oatmeal/day that's almost 60 grams of fiber/day.
    I visit the bathroom 3 times a day!!

    btw, i get 29g fiber
    Can I add a fiber supplement before my fattiest meal

    1C eggwhites
    2tbsp natural pb = 16g fat

    Before it was
    3 whole eggs
    2 tbsp natural pb

    you told me that it would be best to have fiber before high fat meals.
    Im in school all the time, and itd be ideal to take before my last meal. is this ok?

    Also, I have a lot of salad and spinach, apart from the oatmeal

    7to8cups and only 3x a day?

    With the amount of fiber i ingest, a dump takes me like 30 seconds...not counting the wipe time lol.

    I'm in the bathroom for less than 5 minutes each time.

    as with anything else, too much fiber is also bad. i believe the reccommended amount for men is 35 and for women is 20-25 but im sure larger people need more and vice versa. but too much fiber is very bad and nutrients wont be digested properly.
