    casein/substitute

    does anyone know of a whole food that acts like casein protein? i ran out of it and won't be able to buy some for a while.

    Assuming this is before bed you could do cottage cheese, egg whites, even a good ole (lean) steak before bed. I usually do the cottage cheese before bed and wake up in the middle of the night and have a casein shake.

    those r the things i usually eat before bed when i run out of casein. i was just wondering if there r more.

    yes . I have done all of them at different times. Mix and match I say if you want. Some steak and 0mega 3 eggs before bed is good. As long as it meets your diet needs.

    ham steak or center cut pork chops ...slow digesting protein with some fat (minimal).
