    Active life for PWO shake?

    Gentlemen,

I apologize if this is seems to be stupid question or has been asked previously. I searched on this site and throughout the web, but couldn't get my hands on a solid answer.

Basically, my question is this: Is there a time limit for protein powder and dextrose to be in water before it starts to degrade and lose its effectiveness?

I live roughly a half hour away from the gym and was wondering if i could make a shake of 48g ON whey, and 80g dextrose before i leave, store it in my car, and drink when my workout is over. The shake would be in the bottle for roughly an hour and a half. Any help is appreciated.

    DG.

I think you would be fine. But Im not 100% sure on that.
Never heard of protein degrading in water...

How bout, just put the whey/dex in the bottle. and at end of workout, fill with water and down it?

you're fine bro, protein powder is stable and won't degrade within your time frame
