    Baked Beans

What is so bad about baked beans? Just the sugar content? They are very low in fat, and an exellent source of carbs and fiber...plus, they taste good! In one serving (which would be about 30 carbs) there is 12g sugar. Is that much sugar really bad, or does that seem acceptable?

i think baked beans are fine. if you can eat them without the sugar really depends what your goals are. you will probably be ok with the sugar. just realize their are better choices.

If you're trying to lose weight then it wouldn't be a good choice.

My goal is to lean bulk. All of my other carbs come from sweet potatoes, brown rice, oats, etc., so I didn't know if adding baked beans for one meal out of the day would have a significant impact.

Are you talking about the canned baked beans? Make the baked beans yourself from scratch with a no sugar bbq sauce or ketchup and spices.

baked beans are fine if you eat them early in the day or post workout. i would eat them with a lean meat of somekind because i dont belive thay are a comleate protien source.
