Cardio is fine but abs are just like any other muscle in they need just as much rest as anything. Doing abs everyday or even more than twice a week is pointless and not going to do you any good.

rest plays as crucial a role as diet and workout..it is actually when your body grows the most......

I've heard that you can do Abs everyday and still grow?

Your abs won't continue to grow and repair as well as if they had rest. It's a muscle just like any other, they need time to rest!

    Nope.

Some people don't even do abs.

I get good abs workout from deadlifts, squats and lat rows.

So you think 3 times a week is overkill?

I think it's an overkill. Especially if you're doing squats, deads, rows..etc like said previously. I bet if you stopped your ab workouts for a week or so you may actually notice an improvement. Might as well see.

Tough to tell since I am bulking. I do squats, deads, and rows 1 time a week, and usually hit abs on those two days too. So, I guess twice a week.

You think I should hit abs after doing deads/rows? or Squats? Or save ab workout for a separate day like Chest/Bi?
