    porridge oats

    do i get the same carbs, protein etc by just drinking it down with some milk as i would if i heated it up and made porridge???

    yes... if you are heating it with water instead of milk, don't forget to change you rmacros

    The amount of carbs and protein will be the same but nothing beats "chewing" food in terms of how the body utilizies (breaks down) it. Drinking your eats will also slightly raise the GI of the oats (although I believe this to be very minor).
