Blood Glucose Log no carb Day
I Will be posting my log.
I am taking my Blood Sugar before and after each meal to mark my bodys response, obviously since its a no carb day my goal is to keep it low.
And on High carb days would be to keep it stabilized.
I am using a blood glucose meter, same thing as the diabetics use.
Freaking strips are expense.

I agree. Post it. A lack of responses doesn't mean we're not interested. I, for one, am. Plus there have been plenty of views for the topic so far, so get it back up!

I took it down because I was looking for some feedback as well..

Good stuff, seems as though your blood-sugar levels stayed pretty consistent. Can you also post up the results after a refeed (high carb) day? Also, a meal breakdown would be great. Thanks for the info

Yeh I was gonna today, but i didnt have time.
A set of 25 strips runs about 30$.
Just that one day of testing I wasted pretty much the bottle.
I have another, I will do it maybe next week as today is my high carb day

amazed at the waxy maize not impacting levels more....ive read that it wouldnt but was always skeptical .... good stuff ....and as stated above damn expensive to test for a whole day! Thanks for the post if you can afford to and have time id love to see crresponding food and a carb load day as well...but hey its your time and money...good stuff

Yeh I will do more testing but I wanna start off testing a whole day not half assed.
I will do it this week, Im not to happy that waxy only bump it to 103, may try some malo or dex or like 3 or 4 bannas or something until it spikes higher.
4 pieces of Sugarless gum spiked it the same, WTH
This is the feedback I was looking for cuz it is costly to even run this.

Keep in mind Im on R-ALA which does keep insulin levels lower but I take it pre workout only to help acetyl L-carnitine be absorbed better, I don't take it all day.Studies have shown high doses of R-ALA to keep insulin low .

^^^ is it bad that the waxy maize kept levels low? The claim is it shuttles nutrients but it does it so quickly that blood glucose levels are minmally effected and therefore can be used in low carb situation. Those are claims ...I dunno?? this is the kind of real life experience and documentation i love though .... its the reality not just theoretical science or speculation. Ive read about r ala as glucosee disposal agent i take it pwo with my shake and high glycemic carbs... one of those I dont know if it works or not but ill spend the few bucks just in case. Anyway if u are willing keep it up ..im tuned in for sure.

i wish someone would do a study on it, it's claim of bypassing the digestive tract and therefore minimally affecting blood glucose levels is nice, but i would like to see proof
jackjackson, loving the thread bro, keep it up and eventually we might be able to reformat it and sticky it hopefully, great stuff

Thanks
So far from what Im readying insulin is not spiked very much with WM.
I can say I get 0 bloat.
But every morning after waking up I have a nice big wet dookie, on weekends when i dont take WM because I dont do weights I do not have that big water dookie.
Time will tell how well my diet/strategy is working as I measure my LBM and BF%.
I will start a contest prep soon, Shows starting in april
Here is a current photo of me weighing in at 165 this week, Gained some water weight after holidays, so worked it off this week.
Before holidays I weighed in at 162.
Still all natural no AAS yet....

joes above info seems to confirm this...i want proof that it effectively shuttles nutrients WITHOUT the insulin spike ...that IMO is the million dollar question....

Don't think i have the med equip to verify that lol.
Insulin spike I can measure.
This week I will do some testing and replace the Wm with maybe 3 bananas, and or WM and a banana or some simple carb.
Theres alot to test with, just no solid proof its doing its job.
I will say since taking WM Im not as sore as I normally am.
That I will give it, my DOMS is not as painful as it use to be, I also stretch PWO not before.
Inside my shake is pretty much this
1 scoop whey by ON or ISOpure, (change to ON ISOpure is too $$$) rather buy AAS than go through that weekly
1 scoop MHP Probolic-SR
2 scoops Glucevol (aka pure Vitargo by Prof Supps not Nutrex vitargo)
5G Glutamine powder
5G BCAA instantized powderLast edited by jackjackson; 12-15-2008 at 03:33 PM.

Also changed my breakfast up recently with 2 scoops whey before cardio since I need protein asap and cannot wait till after 60 mins cardio then come home then cook then wait 2-3 hours for my food to be digested.
I would add a piece of fruit or a carb but then that would defeat my purpose of cardio on an empty stomach.
Rather have the protein avail also pre cardio, even though its low intens

Here are some results so far.
5:30 88 wakeup
5:50 80 after whey/bcaa/Glutamine shake b4 cardio
7:30 88 after cardio before 1st meal
8:00 98 after 1st meal 1 Cup raw oats cooked and pb and vitamins and CLA
9:40 87 Before 2nd meal
10:11 139 After 2nd meal which is 5.34 oz turkey burger, 6oz raw weight YAM, 5 Asparagus spears
That 6oz yam really got me going, i prefer asparagus as my veggie of choice as I love its natural diuretic effect and are easy to eat.
I had to seperate the carbs from they whey as I do cardio on an empty stomach thus consuming oats pre cardio would be pointless as my goal is to burn BFLast edited by jackjackson; 12-24-2008 at 10:48 AM.
