Too many protein shakes in that diet try eating 2 eggs with 5 egg whites in the breakfast instead of the shake. There is no substitute for real food.

imo, just eat whole food. i've tried both ways. shakes do not help in anyway. i figured out long ago not to waste my money on that crap and to just spend the money on a proper daily diet. maybe you could argue it if you are competing body builder. just us regular schmos (sp?) arent going to see an advantage. eat 6 square meals a day and a lean protein source at every meal. none of this snacking crap i see a lot of people like to do. just eat and do it right. all, imo of course

Adam- I dont understand how shakes dont help in any way? I do understand that ist better to eat real food and not just drink you protein all day. I didnt think 3 shakes was that bad but i am going to take the first advice and cut out the morning shake 6 eggs 5 being whites only. Is there anything else anyone may suggest?

    How much you weigh?

You last meal should be pro/fat with no carbs at all.

I thought shake was your last meal.

Where do the carbs come from in your protein shake?

Real food is always better and if you are gonna do shakes, the ones w/o carbs are the only way to go.

Oww gotcha. The Probolic-sr has 10g of carbs 40g Protein 6g sugar 8g of fat. I didnt think that this perticular shake would be bad since its made to take at night and slowly release during a 12 our period.

I do 2 shakes a day myself which is ok but I really think more than that is bad, I have one iso protein mid day and one casein protein before bed made in water to avoid and pre-sleep carbs.

I suppose that the food choices and nutrient timing are good. Next step would be to calc your BMR and add subtract calories based on if you are bulking or cutting.

190lbs 2500 cals with cardio should be good cutting diet.

i have tried it both ways. through my own trial and error, i saw no advantage in using shakes period. in fact, i feel more control of my diet just eating 6 well balanced meals. do what you think is best for you. i would just be open to trying different ways. imo, no need for shakes.

I am so use to dinking them it would feel weird not to if that makes any sence thanks for the advice. I may look into some other lean proteins to take there place and see what happens.
