    freakin sodium and cuttin

So Im about 3 weeks into my diet and its going great so far. im really knocking out the cardio and getting to where its not so hard to make myself and get up and do the hour and the target heart rate. The diet really sucks, this is the most serious ive ever approached it. The crysal light is saving me as far as fluids go. But, food is another story. I stocked up on the good stuff. I got about 30lbs of lean ground chuck that I brown and eat with mirowave forzen veggies. I can handle that meal, although I would love to put something in it like whiskershaur (spelling) sauce, but the sodium is insane.

Chicken, I got several bags of this as well. First I was just baking it and eating it dry, but now im marinating it with all types of shit and leave all the seasoning and marinate sauce on it, and some on my rice too. Same with the talapia.
I still eat the tuna outta the can with some lemon juice. But what else, despite the fat I was gonna get a bunch of vienna sausage cuz I love them, and several other things too but EVERYTHING just seems to be loaded with sodium, same with the jerky ya know...
I hate to sound like a puss but I was wondering how serious u guys stay with ur sodium intake or how do u find ways around these things??

I hear ya, being italian I like sauces, garlic and salt, so the switch to eating "properly" hurt for a while. I actually got my grandma to teach me how to make her homemade tomato sauce from scratch and cut out the heavy sodium and either replace items or omit them. Now, I just toss 2 tbsp's of it on a chicken breast, steak or even scrambled eggs and its a whole different eating experience.

You could drink quite a bit more water and not worry about the sodium.

thats not very often. Usually its a tsp of olive oil in the pan, touch of crushed garlic, some oregano and fresh ground black pepper. Sometimes its fun to experiment, but sometimes it goes really wrong.
