Post wo meal timing and calories....

What is an adequate protein to carb ratio for my post work out shake? Also, what is the optimal amount of time between my post work out shake until my first solid meal?

**I have been utilizing 50 grams simple carbs (gatorade) and 40 grams whey protein (optimum whey) immediately post workout and then wait about 1hr 30min before my solid meal...

Agreed. 3 red potatoes and 8oz chicken breast within 15 mins PWO for me. Not identical, but very close to my other meals as far as macros.

bro, aren't you missing the 30min golden window by eating a solid meal after working out.... its gonna take awhile for your body to break down that food....

The fast carb, fast protein approach for PWO has been debated over and over again. It seems to me right now the whole food, eat the same macros side is clearly winning on this board.

Actually, I think most on here do oats and whey, in equal numbers. Right now I am doing whey and skim milk.

it's really a 2 hour anabolic window, but personally i will do 50g of whey and 60g of Waxy maize starch(i don't like using simple carbs, they are horrible for you) 5-10minutes after my workout, then a solid meal an hour after that
