    Red potatoes my true love

    red potatoes for some reason taste so damn good to me with some cholula hot sauce on them, I can't get enough. How good are these, and also how many times a day should I eat them? I could really see myself eating them 3-4 meals a day, would that be ok as long as I get oats for 1st meal and maybe whole wheat bread or something ww on another?

    I know some heavy hitter diet experts in here live on them. I am on the fence myself and only eat them while bulking. I really want to be sold on them.

    I hope it's alright to eat the hell out of them, just bought 2 bags. The combination of the red potatoes with cholula on it is so damn good to me.

    I eat them every day post workout with my chicken since they're sort of a mid range GI level.

    I think they're freakin awesome too. I would happily replace my sweet potato for lunch with reds but I need a lower GI source in there.

    talks about how the starch structure can be manipulated by different cooking methods to raise or lower the GI of red potatos

    I'm quoting nark from that thread here. I agree that GI shouldn't determine which is better for you. Just from looking at all the good stuff that's in these red potatoes they'll be in my diet 2-3 x a day. I hate the taste of a sweet potato anyways. I think as long as i'm getting the oats, ww wraps and ww bread in the other three meals, i'll be fine.

    I hate rate potatoes (and root crops in general) higher than grains.

    I ingest carbs tru-out the day... sometimes 6-8 times per day.

    Clearly it's 'ok' if you eat 'em 3-4 times per day.
