    Lightbulb Best pwo shake

I want to find out who has the best PWO shake. Not just the most protein, carbs, and fat ratios, but also the best tasting. I just had one that I got from Polska and so far it's the best one i've made. Here it is as he posted it in a thread earlier:

1/2 cup water 1/2 liquid egg whites
    1 cup oats
    1 serving whey isolate
    1 banana
    ice cubes

yields about 43g protein, 85g carbs, 5g fat so roughly 550 calories. It's good

The only differneces I had in mine was I replaced the water with milk because it's bed time for me and the casein is a slower digesting protein. And I used 5 ice cubes; it wasn't specified before. I blended for a while to make sure to get all the ice cubes crunched up. The oats and banana also are a good sources of soluable fiber, which slows digestion.

If anyone else has a fovorite PWO shake post it up.

That's a really poor rationale for the addition of milk.

1/2 cup of milk supplies approx 4 gr protein...

Casein accounts for 80% of the protein in milk.

    That's 3.2 gr of casein.

Tell us that you added milk for texture... not for the casein content.

Additionally, that's a shitload of carbs (made more by the addition of milk) to be taking in at any one time... furthermore at bedtime.

You started this thread asking about PWO shakes.

Are you working out right before bed?

I just dropped the milk I was taking in with oat, shakes ect along with cutting the fat down from 100+ to 58 and found superb results. I am now a believer in the anti milk, low fat thing thing. It does taste better, but if you make sure you have a gallon of cold water in the fridge to mix your shake with or blend ice, you're good to go.
